Every year, during the holidays gift baskets are crafted and distributed in the downtown Los Angeles Skid Row area for homeless children, men and women. All of the items are donated or purchased with donor and supporters. All donations are tax-deductible.
During the pandemic, Teresa started a meal giveaway for the homeless people living on the streets of her Los Angeles community. She worked with Food Fetish Catering, who prepared 100 meals for each meal distribution. T.A.P. Into The Possibilities will continue to serve the unhoused with nutritious, hot, well balanced meals.

Sometimes, in ones travels through life, you meet a person of unique and wonderful qualities who opens up new and highly rewarding avenues to travel. For me such a person is Teresa A Pitts, the founder and CEO of T.A.P. Into the Possibilities
My daughter and I met Teresa by chance during a short Lyft ride during a visit to Los Angeles. In a few minutes’ discussion, we heard from Teresa about her efforts to help LA’s homeless, especially the children. The obvious passion in what she said was so clear that I knew that Teresa was, as they say, the real deal, someone who was working to help those in need because it was the right, moral and proper thing to do and not for personal gain. We exchanged contact information and parted ways.
Upon returning to Colorado, we kept in touch with Teresa and learned that her next major project was a plan to distribute Thanksgiving dinners to the homeless. My daughter decided to participate in this venture, although since we were 1000 miles away we couldn’t be there in person. I heard about every detail of the effort.
It amazed me just how ingenious Teresa was in finding ways to make each dollar spent go so much farther than one could reasonably expect. She also enlisted all sorts of people into helping with the program, for example getting businesses with extra food to donate it to the cause. The Thanksgiving Meals program ended as a major success. Over one hundred homeless got to celebrate Thanksgiving rather than sitting forgotten by themselves.
The next of Teresa’s efforts that we were involved with was Christmas baskets for homeless families, especially children. Teresa was tireless in her efforts. I marveled as she collected used stuffed animals, disinfected and washed hundreds so that some child could have a toy tiger or lion to snuggle at night. Together, with many others, we contributed to help finance this effort. Once again, Teresa found ingenious ways to make every dollar go much farther than anyone had reason to expect. The money all went for the effort. A great many kids had a happy Christmas that no one would have expected.
Teresa’s efforts have continued with our participation for years. Now, she is trying to institutionalize the effort with a charitable organization in the hopes of growing this effort. I know that with more funding and assistance, Teresa will be highly successful in this effort. I cannot think of a person more dedicated to helping others, especially one with such finely developed skills that will make each dollar donated do more for the homeless.
I highly recommend that you help in this cause.
